The SimDOME partners actively participated in the final event of the project, organised through a combined Hackathon and Industrial Engagement Open Day, in collaboration with Digital Open Marketplace Ecosystem (DOME) 4.0 project. The event was held on 17-19 January 2023 at BI-REX, a Competence Centre on industry 4.0 in Bologna, Italy. Participants from large and small Industries, start-ups, academia and RTOs attended the event.
The first day of the hackathon (18 January), experienced strong participation from the partners in the event, with presentations and interactive sessions held by UNIBO covering semantic interoperability and ontology development. SimDOME coordinator and a lead developer of the EMMO ontology, Prof. Emanuele Ghedini, delivered a dedicated presentation on the latest developments involving EMMO within SimDOME and how it reaches out to the efforts and applications across several collaborative R&D projects on a pan-European level.
